NOTE: Kaplan/Transcender currently Supports only Internet Explorer for their testing interface. Please try Internet Explorer first if you haven't already.
If you are experiencing issues accessing a Transcender Practice Exam please check out the following troubleshooting information.
Error: Unable to find session cookie (in most cases this also resolves an issue where you select a Transcender Practice Exam and the page just sits at 'loading')
IE FIX - select Tools - Internet Options - Privacy tab - Advanced button. Enable 'override automatic cookie handling' then, under 'Third-party Cookies, select 'Prompt'. Go back and try to launch your Transcender Practice Exam again. You will receive a popup 'Privacy Alert' box. Click the box for 'Apply my decision to all cookies from this website' then click 'Allow Cookie'. NOTE: Once you have completed this you should be able to go back and reset Cookie handling to automatic. IE saves the exception for our Transcender Practice Exam site.
Safari FIX - From the Safari Menu select Safari, Preferences, then the Privacy tab. Select the radio button for Block Cookies - Never
IE 10 and 11 - issue with Testlets/Scenarios
If you are using IE 10 or 11 and you are having problems with the "testlets" showing up correctly, You will need to Start a test and then click on - Tools> Compatibility view> add site (which adds kaplanit.com).
Error: Unable to load exam. You may receive this error message if your email (account) address has special characters in it. (for example ' ) Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if this is the case for you.
If you know (or are pretty sure) you have access to the Transcender Practice Exams but the list is empty we have seen where just hitting F5 (refresh) will do it. We have mostly seen this in Chrome.
The most likely cause is you have not filled in a First and Last name in your account however the fix above should be the first thing you try. FIX - Click on your member name and select 'your account' from the drop-down list then click on 'edit my account'. Complete these2 fields. Once that is done please go back and try to launch your Transcender Practice Exam again.
