As an administrator, you have a suite of reporting tools at your disposal to track your team’s learning engagement and progress. With both individual- and team-level reporting, you can see who has completed their training and determine whether your team is on track. Knowing how the members of your team are progressing can help you customize your approach to training.
Topics
Accessing reporting tools
You can access the reporting features on the CBT Nuggets website by clicking on your name in the upper right corner, selecting My Account from the drop-down, and then clicking Reports in the left navigation.
Creating a report
When creating a report for a group you may initially need to select the group(s) you’d like to create a report for from the Group(s) dropdown in the report filter area. Thereafter, you can click Update Filters and edit the filter options. You can also sort the report by clicking the arrows beside column headers.
If you are the Account Owner or Account Administrator, you will have access to reports from all groups. If you are a Group Administrator, you will only be able to select the groups where you are an administrator.
Refresh Results
Training data for some reports may take a few hours to appear. You can click Refresh Results on some reports to see the latest training data.
Scheduling or exporting a report
To export a report, click the Export to CSV button in the upper right corner of any report screen. The file will download immediately.
Any of the reports can be automatically sent to your inbox as often as you choose, whether that’s daily, quarterly, or once a year. Click the Schedule Report button to open the options for any report you have created.
You can find a list of all automated reports you've created under the Automated Reports section.
Types of reports
Course Progress Report
When you first generate a Course Progress Report, the default filter will show all the groups you administer. You can change the filter options by selecting Update Filters. You can also sort the report by clicking the arrows beside column headers.
Training Report
The training report shows you how many hours the members of your team have trained, how many skills they have accessed, and when they last accessed training.
If you click the Details tab, the report will show you which skill each learner watched most recently, when they accessed it, and how long they trained.
Clicking on a specific learner will show you a list of all of the skills they have accessed, when they accessed them, and the amount of time they trained.
Completion Report
The completion report shows you how many skills and courses each learner has completed.
If you click the Details button, the report will show you which skill or course each learner has completed most recently and when.
Clicking on a specific learner lets you see all of the skills or courses they have completed and when. Skills and Courses are grouped in separate tabs.
Practice Exam Report
The practice exam report shows you the learners who have completed practice exams and which exam they completed most recently.
Clicking on a specific learner shows you a list of the practice exams a learner has completed and their performance on each.
Drilling down even further, you can click a specific test to see how the learner has performed over time if they have made several attempts at a particular test.
Validated Minutes Report
Validated Minutes represent the total minutes of video content a learner has shown mastery of by correctly answering quiz questions. For example, if a learner watches two minutes of a video and correctly answers the associated quiz question, they earn two Validated Minutes. Learners can also earn Validated Minutes by answering quiz questions without watching the video. Validated Minutes are measured from the beginning of the video to the first question, and then from the end of the previous question to the beginning of the next question.
The Validated Minutes report shows you the number of minutes each learner has earned compared to the number available for each video they watched.
Clicking a course next to a specific learner will show you a comparison of the Validated Minutes available and earned for each video in the course.
Automated Reports
Any automatic reports you have created are located in the Automated Reports section. You can resend a report or delete it so it will no longer be sent. To do this, click on the ellipsis drop-down menu to the right of the report, and select the desired option.
