Hosted on Slack, the CBT Nuggets Learner Community features channels on technologies, tech vendors, IT career advice, and more. The Learner Community provides a quick and easy way to connect with CBT Nuggets learners in real time. Whether you’re studying for an IT certification or working through an on-the-job issue, get the answers you need.
The goals of the CBT Nuggets Learner Community are to create and connect devoted industry leaders, enable learners to create a resource library, and include learners in our company culture. As such, we have a few guidelines for content and conduct when interacting with others in the group.
Respect for Fellow Learners
We are fortunate to have a very diverse Learner Community, both in terms of technical expertise, opinions, lifestyle, and backgrounds. The following behavior will NOT be tolerated:
- personal attacks
- abusive or bullying comments
- racially or ethnically offensive jokes
- vulgar language
- sexually explicit content
- overtly violent content
- slanderous comments
- comments that infringe upon personal privacy or publicity rights
Any and all hate speech will be reported and removed. The posting member will be warned and potentially removed from the community at the sole discretion of the moderator or CBT Nuggets.
Our Learner Community should be approachable and fun, and we hope everyone will be committed to keeping it that way for all participants!
Don't Be a Spammer
While Learner Community members are free to post outside resources that may help others in their studies, we are a site built upon CBT Nuggets training. As such, we cannot allow the outright marketing and promotion of outside services. Specifically, CBT Nuggets expressly prohibits any marketing efforts or commercial activity engaged in through the community. We do not support, authorize, warrant, or endorse any such commercial or marketing activities. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to remove posts that do not contribute to the CBT Nuggets learning experience.
Further, it is expressly against these Community Guidelines to send any unsolicited communications outside of the Community forums to any Community members. Violation of this policy may lead to permanent removal from the Community.
Just Say No to Illegal Activities
Any use of the Learner Community to facilitate or organize criminal activity will not be condoned and will be reported to law enforcement if we have reason to believe there is a genuine risk. This
includes hacking, cracking, or distribution of counterfeit software.
Give credit where credit is due. If you’re posting a quotation, images, or videos, please cite and link to the source. CBT Nuggets expressly prohibits any unauthorized or infringing use of any third party’s intellectual property rights, including, but not limited to, infringement of third party copyright or trademark rights. Respect the rights of content creators and their content. Any community member that posts unauthorized content that infringes upon any third party intellectual property rights will be warned and potentially removed from the Community at the sole discretion of the moderator or CBT Nuggets.
Braindumps, posts that break exam non-disclosure agreements (or any other NDAs), and illegal free book portals will be immediately removed. Feel free to use CertGuard to help ensure the validity of a particular resource.
